2018-2019 Season: On your marks, get set, SING!

If you haven’t heard… Our BCs won SUPERIOR rating during the Fiesta-val in Williamsburg, VA May 2018! We were so proud of earning a score of 98/100 and celebrated the rest of the weekend at Great Wolf Lodge and Busch Gardens!

We have a whopper of a Season ahead of us! The Directors, Choir Coordinators, and Board of Directors met over the summer to review our past season and made some improvements for this coming season. Each group will perform in our December and April concerts, plus within Carroll County in both the fall and the spring. In May 2019, our BCs will travel to Ellicott City to perform as the featured children’s choir in a famous mass called “Mass for the Children” by John Rutter with Bach in Baltimore. This will be a phenomenal experience both within our choral community and as professional musicians!

I am so excited for this season, to meet our new members, to have our final year with 12 seniors, and especially for the music that we will CREATE!

Auditions for our 2017-2018 Season are coming up!

Do you love to sing?  Want to share your talent with lots of people?  Would you like the chance to travel and learn about new places?  If this is you, you’ll want to be a part of our 2017-2018 season.

The Children’s Chorus of Carroll County is made of talented young singers between the ages of 5 and 18.  We perform classic musical numbers after careful training and mentoring by professional music educators.  We perform two concerts a year in the Winter and the Spring, but there are many, many other opportunities to perform, everything from performing the National Anthem at major sporting events  to travelling oversees to perform in music festivals and events.  We sing at Hershey park, Westminster Main St. events, and much, much more.  Children’s Chorus has travelled to performed in England, Austria, Czech Republic and at Carnegie Hall in New York. Soon, we will be off to New Orleans for another festival and upcoming is our next big trip to Iceland!  If this sounds fun and exciting to you, then don’t miss your chance to join us.
